What ages do you see for evaluations?
We offer psychiatric evaluations forteens ages 13 and up, adults, and older adults (60+). Each assessment is tailored to the individual’s developmental stage and specific mental health needs.
What happens during a psychiatric evaluation?
A psychiatric evaluation includes a comprehensive review of symptoms, personal and family history, and any previous mental health treatment. You’ll meet with a board-certified provider who will listen, assess, and develop a personalized care plan — which may include therapy, medication, or referrals.
Do you prescribe medication after the evaluation?
Medication may be recommended if it’s clinically appropriate, but it is never automatic. We take a thoughtful, collaborative approach, and always discuss options with you before moving forward.
Will my evaluation be confidential?
Absolutely. We follow strict HIPAA guidelines to protect your privacy. For teens, we maintain a balance between confidentiality and parental involvement, depending on age and clinical context.
Do you accept insurance?
We operate as a private-pay concierge practice. While we do not bill insurance directly, we can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance provider.
How long does the evaluation take?
Initial evaluations typically last 60–75 minutes, allowing enough time to fully understand your concerns and create an individualized plan.
Can you help with school or workplace accommodations?
Yes. If appropriate, we can provide documentation or recommendations for IEPs, 504 plans, or workplace accommodations following the evaluation.
