I was very comfortable openly discussing all personal and medical history. I could tell that everything I said was being received and considered. He was extremely knowledgeable on the differences between medications and how each is processed by the body (which helped me get answers to some questions I've carried with me for 10+ years). He was able to explain it to me on my level, and in a way I could understand, while avoiding excessive medical jargon/theory/studies. We talked for some time and I could tell he had put in a lot of work to stay up-to-date with the latest technology, studies, and best practices. The billing portion is very clear, and explained in advance, so there is no surprise. He is still setting up to get various insurance working with his new practice. That aside, he pointed me to the "GoodRx" app and that made the prescriptions easily affordable without using my insurance. His location is in a historic building in Georgetown, KY. Don't let the outside fool you UK fans!! As always, the interior is recently remodeled and very nice. I would add that the entire place was exceptionally clean and I felt very comfortable. After my first visit, I can conclude that I would not have concerns bringing my family here. I took a chance on trying Dr. Khalsa and this experience exceeded all expectations. I suggest to NOT go to "LifeStance" in Georgetown as it currently has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for deceptive billing practices among other things.
